Banyan Residential Command Control
BRCC is a patent-pending residential property control architecture developed to coordinate sensing, physical-state verification, resilience, hazard response, and controlled recovery across the home.
The house should know what actually happened.
BRCC is designed around a simple principle: a command is not the same thing as a verified physical result.
The public architecture combines a machine-readable property model with coordinated residential control, functional-dependency awareness, continuity, and post-command physical-state verification. It is intended to help a residence understand current conditions, coordinate compatible systems, recognize degraded capability, and manage recovery after abnormal events.
Verify Physical Outcomes
BRCC can distinguish a command being issued from evidence that the corresponding physical condition was actually achieved.
Coordinate Dependencies
The architecture can evaluate how one residential action may affect another active function before executing, modifying, deferring, or replacing the action.
Preserve Resilience
Continuity power, recovery checkpoints, degraded operating states, and controlled restoration are part of the broader residential resilience model.
Multi-Hazard Response
Fire, water, electrical, storm, structural, security, environmental, pool, exterior, and other residential conditions can be coordinated rather than treated as isolated alarms.
Truthful Readiness
Requested status and achieved status can remain separate so that an unresolved or unverified condition does not silently become “secure,” “ready,” or “safe.”
Recovery Matters
The end of an initiating event does not automatically mean the property is ready for ordinary operation. BRCC includes staged recovery and verified return-to-service concepts.
