Manta 1.0
“Fat Girl”
Ocean exploration, reimagined around people. A human-occupied, battery-electric shallow-water submersible concept designed around safety, comfort, quiet operation, and extraordinary access to the underwater world.

A wider view of underwater travel.
Manta 1.0 combines a broad manta-inspired architecture with human-centered cabin design and supervisory safety systems intended for premium tourism, scientific observation, conservation, research, and recreational exploration.
Designed around people
Two pilot stations and six passenger positions within a pressurized occupied environment, with functional sanitation and secured onboard storage.
Real forward cockpit glazing
Pressure-rated transparent forward viewing structures provide pilots with direct external visibility, supplemented by electronic sensing and displays.
Quiet distributed maneuvering
Battery-electric distributed thrusters support multi-axis maneuvering in the presently contemplated Manta 1.0 implementation.
Supervisory maneuver safety
Environmental sensing and supervisory control may predict collision conditions and restrict conflicting pilot-command execution when required for safety.
Operating limits that act
Depth-governance functions can evaluate requested movement against an applicable operating-depth limit and restrict an unsafe descent rather than merely displaying a warning.
Coordinated response
Emergency-recovery architecture can coordinate buoyancy, maneuvering thrust, stabilization, pilot-control restrictions, and movement toward a surfaced recovery condition.

Six passengers. Two fixed sofas. One central experience.
The current cabin arrangement places two permanently secured three-passenger sofas back-to-back in the center of the passenger region, preserving circulation along both sides.
- Two fixed three-passenger sofas arranged back-to-back in the central cabin
- Two forward pilot stations with real pressure-rated forward glazing
- Single dorsal primary hatch for normal boarding and egress
- Purpose-designed docking and boarding architecture with deployable ladder
- Representative commercial shallow-water mode around 60 ft; Manta 1.0 platform design objective around 100 ft
Patent pending.
